The PIPA Institute was born from Roberto Vinhaes desire to contribute to the third sector.
Seeing that there were few institutions dedicated to contemporary Brazilian art, Vinhaes created the PIPA Institute (formerly known as Instituto IP).
PIPA Global Investments is the main partner of the PIPA Institute.
From 2010 to 2018, the PIPA Prize, the main initiative of the PIPA Institute, was held annually in the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAM-Rio). In 2019, the Prize will take place at Villa Aymoré.
PIPA Institute, in partnership with Villa Aymoré, will organise exhibitions in the art gallery space at the complex.
